Rich appointed jail administrator with the rank of major

Major S. Rich, right, was recently named jail administrator at the Hampton Sheriff's Office.

Captain S. Rich has been named the new jail administrator with the rank of major for the Hampton Sheriff’s Office.

As jail administrator, Rich's duties include managing the commander of Corrections and the deputy of Inmate Services.

Rich was promoted from commander of Inmate Services.

Rich is a 14-year veteran of the Hampton Sheriff’s Office.
