The following college football player with a Hampton South high school tie has scheduled action this week:
Stephen Clark, University of Delaware
Position: Safety/Wide Receiver
High school: Bethel High
This week: Saturday, Nov. 17, versus Villanova University
About Clark: Clark is a 2010 graduate of Bethel High School, where he played safety and wide receiver on the football team for coach Jeff Nelson. He was a three-year starter (2007 to 2009) catching 47 career passes for 706 yards and nine touchdowns while leading Bethel to a 23-12 record and three trips to the playoffs. As a senior (2009) Clark had 21 receptions, 521 yards and six touchdowns to earn second-team all-district recognition. As a junior (2008) he hauled in 18 passes for 117 yards and two scores to help Bethel go 7-5 and make it to the second round of the postseason. His team went 10-2 and made it to the second round of the playoffs in 2007 during Clark's sophomore year when he had eight catches for 68 yards and a touchdown. He was also a standout tennis player making to the district match qualifier for both singles and doubles. Clark was a member of the National Honor Society. Born July 14, 1992 the son of Terry and Cynthia Clark, he plans to major in wildlife conservation at Delaware. He is from Hampton.
