Hampton University Lady Pirates' Strakova ranks high in NCAA
Hampton University announced that sophomore volleyball rightside Vendula Strakova is ranked in the top five nationally in three different statistical categories, according to the most recent update from the National Collegiate Athletic Association on Nov. 12.
According to the university, "Strakova, a three-time Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference Player of the Week this season, is ranked second in the nation in points averaging 5.63 per set. She is also third in the nation in service aces per set averaging 0.56 per set. Her 4.73 kills per set is the fifth-best average in all of Division I."
Strakova is from Brno, Czech Republic.
