Bethel grad Evans contributes to University of Virginia victory
Bethel High School graduate Jontel Evans played for University of Virginia in a 60-54 win against University of Wisconsin, Madison on Nov. 28 at Kohl Center in Madison, Wis., according to University of Virginia's website.
The University of Virginia senior guard recorded four rebounds for the Cavaliers, who improved to 5-2 on the season.
Evans is a senior guard for University of Virginia. He is a 2009 graduate of Bethel High School in Hampton, where he lettered three times in basketball as a point guard for head coach Craig Brehon. The anthropology major from Hampton is the son of Walter and Trina Evans.
